Your Customer & Your Story

This is the most important part of the form. Your answers here become the actual words in your ads and video scripts. Take your time — a few extra minutes here saves us both a round of revisions.

11. Describe your ideal customer. Age, income, homeowner or renter, business or consumer, what stage of life they’re in.

12. What problem are they dealing with — and how does that problem make them feel? We want both halves. “Their garage floor is cracked and stained” is the problem. “They’re embarrassed to leave the garage door open” is the feeling. The second one is what makes someone stop scrolling.

13. What happens if they never fix it? What’s it costing them to keep putting it off?

14. What does life look like after they work with you? Describe the customer on the other side of it, not your service. What do they have, feel, or stop worrying about?

15. What are the simple steps to working with you? Three steps if you can. “Call for a free quote → we measure and price it → we install in one day.”

16. What makes your business different from your competitors? Why should someone choose you over them even if you’re not the cheapest? What do you do that others in your market don’t? Think about your process, your experience, your guarantee, your materials, your certifications, how you treat customers, or anything you’re known for. If a customer has told you why they picked you over someone else, tell us what they said.
